The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) held its Annual Seminar for Financial Reporting for County Governments and Other Public Sector Entities. The theme of the conference was ‘Improving compliance and professionalism in public sector reporting’.
The discussions in the seminar shed light on the challenges, opportunities, and lessons in enhancing accountability and foster productivity for accountants in Kenya.
The Controller of Budget Dr. Margaret Nyakang’o made a presentation on Public expenditure control and monitoring where she discussed in depth on budget execution and monitoring, the linkages between plans and financial reports and the implications to fiscal responsibility principles.
The seminar was held at the Pride Beach Hotel between 8th-12th March 2021.
